About Us

Navs is the collegiate ministry within The Navigators. We are an international, non-denominational Christian ministry that was founded in 1933.  We currently have 760 staff on 160 campuses across the nation.

At Michigan State, we seek to build a a close-knit community of people who actively engage in the lives of those around us. Our lives have been changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We love to study and memorize God's Word in small groups, disciple students one-to-one, and train them how to share their faith and disciple others. 2 Timothy 2:1,2 says: "You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."

Just as Jesus spent time with His disciples, we
build relationships with students and help them strengthen their relationships with Jesus and each other.  No one will ever grow to maturity in their faith alone.  As we experience God's love through the gospel, it overflows into our relationships with one another and the lost!  We love God and love people, and we encourage others to do the same. We take our faith seriously, but we also have fun.

Navs typically has four years to impact the life of a student. It is our deepest honor and highest calling to develop that student into a life-long laborer, one who will continue to walk with Jesus long after graduation. So, while they are in college, we work to equip students with the skills and tools that will help them advance the Gospel wherever they go. We also strive to produce men and women with strong character and humble hearts. It sounds ambitious, and it is . . . but, by God's grace, we can’t think of anything else we’d rather do!
